Three Different Ways to Influence Yourself – תל אביב קואצ’ר

My name is Claude Massey and I’m a life coach in Tel Aviv, Israel.  If you haven’t gone in yet, take a look around my website (www.claudemasseyconsulting.org).  There will be dozens of other articles and videos like this, but before you do… let’s discuss three different ways to influence yourself.

I’m a hundred percent sure that every one of you would love to learn how to influence other people in life.  However, the most important person that you can ever influence is yourself and the first thing you need to know is that it will require discipline.  Can you handle that?

That being said, and if you are ready to have a little self-discipline… let’s get into it.

The First and Best Way to Influence Yourself is with self-influence with positive self-affirmations.

What are affirmations?

Affirmations are messages that you give yourself repetitively in order to change the way that you think, and in order to change the way that you perceive yourself.

What is the purpose of affirmations?

Doing self-affirmations will influence your subconscious mind.  If you repeat messages in your conscious mind, those messages will become beliefs in your subconscious mind.  Using affirmations, you can begin to influence your own subconscious mind, therefore changing your own belief systems.

How do I write a self-affirmation?

The key thing in affirmative self-messaging is to create a message that you have already achieved the goal you want.  You will tell yourself that you have already accomplished the state of being which you desire.

What is an example of a positive self-affirmative message?

An “I am ABC…” statement.

Fill in “ABC” with the goal that you want to achieve.  Therefore, if you were trying to lose weight you would say, “I am thin and fit”.  If you want to be wealthy, you could write, “I have financial abundance”.

I recommend starting with just a few positive affirmations, and writing them down on a piece of paper.  Then read that paper repeatedly, for no less than 2 to 5 minutes per day.  Simply repeat the message again, and again, and again.

Final advice about affirmations:

If you are in a private location, read the paper with your positive self-affirmations aloud so the impact on your subconscious mind will be even stronger.

Another Way to Influence Yourself is to develop good self-dialogue and great self-talk.

This means that the voice in your head is having empowering conversations with the other voice in your head.  Having the right kind of self-talk is going to be crucial to influence yourself.

Some people have a very harsh internal dialogue.  They constantly put down themselves, and say harsh things to themselves.  This is not what I am talking about.

It is okay to be stern with yourself, but I don’t like the idea of self-criticizing.

Rather, think of developing good refocusing messages during your self-talk.  This means that I recommend creating an internal message that you say to yourself, in order to give yourself focusing and refocusing powers.

An internal dialogue that will put yourself back on track, and realign yourself is the goal you should have.  The goals that you have require a lot of focus, and in the world of social media that we live in there are a massive amount of distractions.

So my second tip how to influence yourself would be to, develop a great self-talk centered around focusing, and refocusing.

The Third and Final Tip…

One of the best ways to influence yourself is by taking massive action towards your desires.  I recommend you to do this by using a five-second rule.

Don’t give yourself time to come up with reasons why you shouldn’t do something that you know you should.  Instead, count to the number five in your head and then take immediate action.

You’re going to need to take action upon the things that you want to achieve and when you do take massive action, it will have tremendous influence on how you think and feel.  This is because what you will be doing is conquering hesitation and defeating fear.

Taking control and overcoming the natural tendency to delay will give you more self-esteem and confidence… so take massive action as often as you can!

In conclusion…

There are few self-development techniques for you to use.  Consider yourself ready to implement the three strategies above and begin when ready.  Go ahead and become the person that you want to be, and that I’m a hundred percent certain that you can be.

About the creator of Three Different Ways to Influence Yourself – תל אביב קואצ’ר

My name is Claude Lee Massey, I’ve been living in Tel Aviv for 10+ years… and what an adventure it has been!  I remember the day I arrived in Israel, I had NO money – NO friends – and NO job.  So, how exactly did I become a life coach and career counselor in Tel Aviv, Israel?

Here is my story…

About five years ago (after 15+ years of soul-searching), I had a realization:  That I was put here on this planet to teach and to share the knowledge I have.  Along with that powerful revelation, I had a powerful insight: “I want to open my own consulting business”.

As the start-up capital of the world, Israel has plenty of new companies with growing English speaking sales teams.  Therefore, with my 15+ years of experience in the field of sales, I decided to open a sales training/consulting company.

I never thought that I would open my own business in Israel…but I did!

At once, I went to an accountant to file the proper paperwork to legally operate my NEW sales consulting company.  Afterwards, I began to use all of my spare time (at this point I had a full-time job for a high-tech company) after work and before work creating materials and trying to acquire clients.

Most importantly, I knew what I had to do and whom I wanted to target.

I started cold calling companies in Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Ramat Gan, Jerusalem, Bat Yam, and Holon.  Moreover, I was working like a madman.  I was sending emails and doing everything in my power to try to generate momentum in my business.

It was, and is brutal being an entrepreneur, but great news!  I was able to find my first few clients!

Something I immediately noticed, was at the conclusion of my sales training workshops (where I focused on selling through telling stories, and teaching specific sales techniques), two things would happen consistently happen:

Firstly, I would receive feedback that the sales training workshop provided massive value.  Secondly, one or two of the students in the course would privately approach me.

They would speak with me about their struggles, not only in sales but also in life.

Then one time, a female student offered to pay me for a one-on-one sit down session outside of the office.  She asked me to help her figure out a better career path.  As a struggling entrepreneur, I accepted.

Another student, at another company, approached me and offered to pay me for my time to help prepare him for a job interview.  Yes, he was planning to leave the sales job that he was at.

Similarly, another student from another workshop, at another company me to help them work with their confidence and being able to communicate efficiently.  This would happen again, and again…

Each person with his or her own challenge.  They knew I was not certified or professionally trained.  Still, they would approach me and offer to pay me for my time.

To sit with them and help figure things out, and to give them my guidance.  These first clients called me their “Life Coach” or “Career Counselor“.

Moreover, I was able to help them!  At the conclusion of our 3 to 5 one-on-one sessions, they each had taken took massive steps forward towards the results they wanted.

Eventually, enough people paid me to sit down with them, and called me their Career Counselor or Life Coach… that I began to call myself a “Career Counselor” and ”Life Coach”.

Most people set out to become a trained and certified life coach or career counselor before ever having a client.  However, I never said I wanted to be a life coach or a career counselor,

This interesting and fulfilling profession came to me, literally.

And that is the super-short story of how I began life coaching and career counseling in Tel Aviv IsraelNow 5 years later, I can say that I’m happy to say I have helped many, many of people just like you!
